Hello guys I will show how create a 3dsmax 3d clip on timer switch model tutorial.
I have used following techniques shown below in this 3ds max tutorial.

[1]-Start 3dsmax and choose “Rectangle” with the following size as shown below
     Create a rectangle like this in the top view port

[2]-Apply the extrude modifier with the amount of 20.0

[3]-Select the rectangle and convert into the editable poly now select the edges mode

[4]-Select the edges and apply the extrude edges with the good following amount as shown below

[5]-Your rectangle should like this

[6]-Select the polygon and apply the bevel polygon with the good following amount as shown below

[7]-Your rectangle should like this

[8]-Create cylinder and set like this

[9]-Now select the rectangle and Boolean the cylinder like this

[10]-Your object should like this

[11]-Create chamfer cylinder and set like this

[12]-Create rectangle and apply the extrude modifier with the amount of 5.0

[13]-Create box and now Boolean it

[14]-Your object should like this

[15]-Set the text like this

[16]-Make material like me

[17]-Set the skylight like this with the following parameter
