Here I will tell you about 3dsmax 3d masking effect studio tutorial.
I have used following techniques in this 3ds max tutorial.

[1]-First of all you will press (ctrl +N) now you will see the new window is open
Now press (F12) you will see the Render window is open then open Assign Renderer > click
On the Production button and select the Mental Ray click OK

[2]-Click on the Geometry > Standard Primitives > Plane and use the following setting
Set the plane like this in the Perspective view

[3]-Again Click on the Geometry > Extended Primitives > C-Ext and use the following setting

[8]-Now press (M) you will see the material window is open create a two material
Now click on the standard button and select the DGS Material (physics_Phen)
you will see the DGS Material(physics_Phen) is open now click on the map button
Then put (mask) map and now open mask parameter put map like this

[9]-open the DGS Material (physics_Phen) and use the following setting
Then open the Shader palette now your material like this

In the second map select the texture
