Hello guys I will show how create a 3dsmax 3d metal detector model tutorial.
I have used following techniques shown below in this 3ds max tutorial.

[1]-Start 3dsmax and choose “Box” with the following size as shown below   
     Create two boxes in the top view port

[2]-Create one more box and set like this

[3]-Select the box and convert into the editable poly now select the edges then
     Apply the extrude edges with the good following amount as shown below

[4]-Your object should like this

[5]-Create four cylinder and set like this

[6]-Now Boolean the cylinders like me

[8]-Create two planes like this

[9]-This is my material palette

[10]-Set the skylight like this with the following parameter as shown below

[11]-This is my final result
